Scion Tuner Challenge photos
Scion's booth at the SEMA Show is usually jam-packed with some of the craziest cars at the show. 2009 was no exception. Check out some of the wildest Scions of 2009.
Kogi xD
This xD by tuner Kogi features your standard array of upgraded wheels, tires, and a crazy body kit. But wait, that rear door doesn't open like a standard door.
Kogi xD
Heading around to the back, we find that the rear storage compartment features a pull out grill! The rear driver's-side door pulls out to reveal a small refrigerator.

On the other side, we see that the rear passenger-side door slides out to reveal a sink.
Bowls xB Tuner Challenge Car
This Bowls Tuner Challenge xB features an extended wheelbase, custom paint, and a pickup-truck conversion.
Bowls xB Tuner Challenge Car
The Bowls xB has been lowered on an airbag suspension over custom billet 20-inch wheels.
Bowls xB Tuner Challenge Car
This xB draws inspiration from the classic Toyota Crown pickup.

Fender-mounted side mirrors add to the custom aesthetic.

Nestled in the Bowls xB's bed is a custom Honda Ruckus (yep, a Honda at the Scion booth!) with an extended rear arm and color-matched paint.
0-60 Mag/Sparco Rally xD
This Rally xD by 0-60 Mag and Sparco is packing serious wattage, and we don't mean amplification! Just check out this high-power lighting setup by PIAA.
0-60 Mag/Sparco Rally xD
This xD features Sparco's race seats and harnesses, shifter, pedals, helmet, and steering wheel. We'd just love to see this Scion crashing through a heavily wooded rally course!

Off-road Rally tires, lightweight Volk wheels, and custom suspension join a full roll cage in making this xD rally-ready.
Five Axis DJ xB
Another xB taking part in the Tuner Challenge, this model--customized by Five Axis wheels--draws inspiration from the unpainted, riveted-on wide fenders that are common with Toyota AE86s customized for drifting.
Five Axis DJ xB
However, this xB is more about audio performance than drifting performance.

The roof opens up to reveal an illuminated dance floor.
Five Axis DJ xB
Unfortunately, this otherwise over-the-top xB still features Scion's stock Alpine receiver, which we merely tolerated when we tested the 2010 Scion xB.
Five Axis DJ xB
Of course, being customized by Five Axis means that the DJ xB gets a set of deep dish Five Axis wheels.
Epic Cartel tC
The Epic Cartel tC starts with a 3-inch roof chop, custom paint, and an extreme body kit. Ridiculously large 22-inch wheels and an airbag suspension complete the loud-and-low look.
Open roof driving
However, the Epic Cartel tC doesn't stop there. The tC's glass roof and rear window have been removed. An Alpine iVA-W505 headunit is the basis of a full Alpine audio system with four 10-inch subs and over 3,000 watts of amplification.
Mummbles Marketing xB Tuner Challenge Car
This metallic blue xB by Mummbles Marketing features a 9-piece wide-body kit from BRS Autodesign.
Mummbles Marketing xB Tuner Challenge Car
The Mummbles xB also features a powerful Descendant turbocharger system, but somehow it gets lost among all of the gold and teal blue.
