Mercedes-AMG drops the top on the C63 (pictures)
Arriving in two distinctly different trim levels, the Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabrio is all about having tons of fun with your top off.
If you want the wind in your face, but you don't want some pokey old car, the C63 Cabrio will be right up your alley.
There are two available trim levels -- the C63 and the C63 S.
The "standard" C63 touts 469 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from a 4.0-liter, turbocharged eight-cylinder engine.
Move up to the C63 S, and output jumps to 503 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.
Both engines mate to a seven-speed automatic, and both are rear-wheel drive only.
The C63 S gets a fair bit more kit than the C63, including carbon-ceramic front brakes, an electronic limited-slip differential, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
The C63 S also shaves 0.1 second off the 0-60 mph time, from 4.1 seconds to 4 dead.
Top speed is also higher on the C63 S -- 174 mph, versus 155 in the C63.
The C63 S also gets a slick AMG steering wheel as standard equipment. It's an option on the C63.
