McLaren's Geneva offerings are exercises in excess (pictures)

McLaren may have a surprise coming to Geneva, but the two models we know about are also worth mentioning.

This McLaren P1 is the first to be shown off with a body made entirely of hand-laid carbon fiber, which has been tinted blue.

The company only recently started offering fully exposed carbon bodies.

This is actually a customer car, one of the 375 that will roll off the production line.

Another unique touch on this vehicle is its black-painted wheels, which isn't necessarily breaking any new ground.

But, hot damn, that carbon fiber looks good in blue.

The interior's been treated to some special touches, as well.

This P1 has been upgraded with carbon-black Alcantara and contrasting blue stitching.

You can't see it, but there's also a 24-karat-gold exhaust heat shield hidden in the engine compartment.

Geneva will mark the first time McLaren has shown off the 675LT Spider in public.

This model also features that 24-karat-gold heat shield -- again, not that you can see it.

This specific Spider packs a custom ceramic-gray paint job and more carbon fiber than you'd find on a more "standard" 675LT.

Its airbrake is painted on the top, but the bottom half shows off its carbon-fiber construction.

As you might expect, the interior's been given a few MSO Bespoke bits.

Its black Alcantara seats are finished off with contrasting yellow stitching.

Naked carbon fiber is lovely, no matter what shade it's in.

McLaren hasn't yet said what its surprise will be, but we doubt it's an affordable sedan.
