Mazda CX-5 180
Mazda's CX-5 gets a sporting overhaul to go along with its sporty performance at the 2012 SEMA Show. Okay, maybe "overhaul" is a bit strong. These are mostly styling exercises with few power or handling upgrades.
Mazda CX-5 180
The CX-5 180's 2.0-liter Skyactiv engine has been untouched with the exception of a Racing Beat dual exhaust. Custom 20-inch wheels and blue paint with graphics finish the exterior updates.

The 180's roof rack is a Mazda OEM accessory and is holding a pair of Burton Cheetah snowboards and a Rusty surfboard atop the roof. Now, where can I go to surf and snowboard in the same day?
Mazda CX-5 Dempsey
The CX-5 Dempsey is named after actor and race car driver Patrick Dempsey. According to Mazda, it was designed with Dempsey's love of motorsports and cycling in mind. Its 2.2-liter Skyactiv diesel engine makes it the torquiest of this CX-5 trio.

The Dempsey features a combination of glossy and matte black paint with grey, red, and white accents. Mazda Design wheels sit below and a Thule cargo box sits atop this custom CX-5.

The bicycle rack is of Thule design and connects to Mazda's OEM hitch. Perched atop the rack is a Specialized Bicycle S-Works Tarmac SL4 Red.
Mazda CX-5 Urban
The CX-5 Urban also features custom matte paint with multiple shades of black that lend it a stealthy appearance.

The 22-inch Ace Alloy Scorpio wheels are finished in -- you guessed it -- matte black.

While we're going for style, I'd like to see the CX-5 Urban lowered a bit, bringing the Nitto tires into closer proximity to the custom Mazda Design wheel arch extensions and completing the stealthy look.
Mazda CX-5 Safety Car
Not officially a member of the custom CX-5 trio, this CX-5 Safety Vehicle serves pace-car and demonstration-lap duties at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. A roll cage, racing seats, and six-point racing harnesses keep passengers safe and performance upgrades help it navigate the Raceway's corners.
Mazda MX-5 Super 25
It looks the part, but the Mazda MX-5 Super 25 is only a concept, not an actual race car. Although, the Volk Racing TE37 wheels shod in BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires are probably up to the task.

A custom roll cage (painted white) is visible through the rear window, stiffening the chassis and enhancing driver safety. Sparco racing seats shod in custom Mazda Design ultrasuede and a Sparco six-point racing harness hold the driver in place while clipping apexes.

This four-lamp pod is a custom Mazda design and houses PIAA 40 Series and 510 Series halogen lights.
1990 Mazda 787
Mazda fans interested in an actual race car could stop and gawk at this 1990 Mazda 787 prototype racer.
