The 2018 Audi S4 will get you around in tech and style, but at a faster clip
With a higher-output engine and all the trimmings that make the standard A4 so great, the S4 is a force to be reckoned with ... until the RS4 comes out, that is.
The S4 is meant to slot between the pedestrian A4 and the hard-core RS4 (if Audi makes one this time around).
As with the S5 announced earlier this week, the S4 utilizes a 3.0-liter, forced-induction V-6.
Output is pegged at 354 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque.
With standard all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic, the sedan will reach 62 mph in 4.7 seconds.
The chassis's been upgraded with a lower ride height, brake-based torque vectoring and available adaptive dampers.
The exterior's been given an angrier appearance, as well.
It wouldn't be a hopped-up Audi without four tailpipes!
As one would expect by this point, the S4 can be loaded up with all manner of active and passive safety systems, including a traffic-jam assist that works from 0 to 40 mph.
Virtual Cockpit is available, as well, which replaces the traditional gauge cluster with a 12.3-inch customizable screen.
The S4 goes on sale in Europe in the second half of this year, and its starting price is €59,300 ($67,307, directly converted).
