Chevrolet's 'Tron'-themed Cruze fights for the Users

To help celebrate the opening of Shanghai Disneyland in June, Chevrolet's bringing it back to 2010.

Cars are Andrew's jam, as is strawberry. After spending years as a regular ol' car fanatic, he started working his way through the echelons of the automotive industry, starting out as social-media director of a small European-focused garage outside of Chicago. From there, he moved to the editorial side, penning several written features in Total 911 Magazine before becoming a full-time auto writer, first for a local Chicago outlet and then for CNET Cars.

No, I'm not writing this story six years late -- Chevrolet is in fact, in 2016, rolling out a Cruze that's been done up in the style of "Tron: Legacy." Instead of just being way behind the times, Chevy's unveiled this concept at the Beijing Auto Show for a very timely reason.

The Disneyland empire will expand once more in June, as Shanghai Disney opens to the public. Since Disney was the force behind the sequel, this tie-in is all neat and tidy like. Both Chevrolet and The Walt Disney Company China had its hands in this unique concept, which isn't necessarily that over the top.

The Tron-themed Cruze doesn't pack any sort of weird drivetrain or anything of that ilk. Rather, it's loaded up with aesthetic enhancements. There's special metallic paint on the outside that creates those blue lines, and those lines continue to the interior, where blue ambient lighting complements piping on the seats, steering wheel, center console and instrument panel.

"Tron: Legacy" is now showing at a Redbox or a public library's DVD collection near you.
