The Pagani Huayra BC is gloriously insane

Believe it or not, there was at least one human being that looked at the current Pagani Huayra and said, "This is great, but can't I have more?" Horacio Pagani himself was likely one of the people asking that question, because his company has just released a car that's even more bonkers than the Huayra -- the Huayra BC.

BC stands for Benny Caiola, an Italian-American property mogul who was Pagani's first customer. Caiola's enthusiasm for the brand is reflected in the BC's appearance, which is far more aggressive than the standard Huayra (can we call any Pagani standard?). In fact, the two cars share only a roof panel -- every other body panel on the BC is brand spanking new.

The Huayra BC remains under 12-cylinder power, but its Mercedes-AMG-sourced engine now puts out 789 horsepower and 811 pound-feet of torque -- up 60 hp over the standard car. Its engine mates to an all-new, seven-speed automated manual transmission, which Pagani says weighs 40 percent less than a comparable dual-clutch unit.

Pagani

Lightness is the name of the game, and it contributes to an overall 291-pound weight loss when compared to the original Huayra. Its aluminum-alloy suspension is 25 percent lighter than the Huayra's, the carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes contribute to a lower unsprung weight and even the tires are 3 percent lighter than before. Hell, Pagani replaced the handbrake with an electronic unit to shave a couple pounds.

If you've ever wanted to live in a steampunk fantasy novel, the BC's interior will be right up your alley. It's loaded up with exposed elements (like that beautiful shifter), carbon fiber and Alcantara leather. The key is a miniature model of the BC that you shove into the dashboard. It looks like nothing else...

...as it should, considering the price tag. The Huayra BC can be yours for the low, low price of 2.3 million euros (about $2.5 million, £1.8 million or AU$3.6 million). And by "it can be yours," we mean that all 20 copies are already sold out, so the only way you'll get one now is by inventing a time machine. Depending on your situation, you might want to consider robbing a bank too. Still, it's worth it. If all you want to do is look at it, you'll get the chance at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
