    Started with CAD/CAM systems in 1973; been in tech support in one form or another since that time (since mid-'80's PC's/Apple almost exclusively). I am retired now (and disabled), but run a small home repair business out of my home (I don't charge money for my time just for any HW or SW needed). Life is not great atm, but it could be worse I suppose.

    hiking, computers, reading GOOD books, mmorpg's, hawaiian shirt collecting, causing problems.

  • Tech Interests:

    virus (et al) detection and defeat, Linux, vinyl records, anti anti-copy protection, online role play gaming, home theater (SLS Q-Line with LG LRY-517 dvd recorder/player and WD LVM-37w3 FP LCD HDTV - whole thing < $2K!), robotics

  • OS:

    XP Pro SP 3 - not vista!!

  • Machine:

    Abit TForce 590 SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon? 64 X2 5000+ 4G DDR2-800 2x WD360GD GIGABYTE 7900GS TurboForce Audigy 4 (hate it!)
