    Retired meteorologist, interests in computer hardware/software and home networking. Beta tester for last three versions of Microsoft OS, and tester for some pre-release software. Both networked computers are home built.

    meteorological data and numerical forecasts, swimming, tennis, skiing, biking.

  • Tech Interests:

    Hardware, home built and modifying computers. Strongly prefer AMD processors.

  • OS:

    Microsoft Windows XP

  • Machine:

    Two networked AMD 2500+ processors, one with Viewsonic 20" LCD, other with Dell 21 " CRT. High end video processors GeForce 5900 XT on each. High speed Fios Verizon connection.
