About Me

  • Short bio:

I taught fine arts at the University of Alberta for 37 years and am now Professor Emeritus. Though I practiced sculpture professionally, I am now solely preoccupied with photo painting and painting and show professionally this work. I have had a computer since 1985. It was a useless thing then but since discovering Macintosh computers in 1994 I have made it the tool of choice for creating artworks much as a sculptor uses clay and bronze and chisels and so forth. It is a fine articulate tool.
  • Interests:

I am a long time Cosmology student and spend much time reading the journals in that field. Classical music especially late Romantic and Modern music
  • Tech Interests:

Macintosh computers, photography in the digital domain.
  • OS:

    Mac OSX various generations.
  • Machine:

PowerMacs ( more than one!) Three large screen configuration for graphic work, a half dozen hard drives, scanners for film and flatbed, archival printers and lots of archaic equipment piled up here and there.Oh yes, as much RAM as I can afford.
