About Me

  • Short bio:

I've been earning my living using PCs since 1984. Before that, I used magnetic-media precursors to digital word processing, including the MTST and IBM Displaywriter. Prior to that I used an IBM Selectric Typewriter to earn my living -- what a nightmare that was! When I attended University the first time around, the hand-held calculator had just been invented and was on the market for the first time. And it was big!
  • Interests:

Sewing, Gardening, Bicycling, Reading non-fiction and fiction; studying medical knowledge, history, paleontology, archaeology, geology, astronomy and music, to name a few. Favorite composers include, but are not limited to: Mozart, Mahler, Part, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Bach, Palestrina, Gorecki, Korngold, Gershwin, Ross Edwards.
  • Tech Interests:

I'm a tech user who strives to learn how to best use the tools I need. I don't try to keep up with buying/learning all the new things as they come along. If I was retired and rich, I would do that; but in reality, I can't.
