CNET has, but since the 79-inch model has slightly different display technology, I can't assume it performs the same as the 65-inch size that we did review, and which is pictured above. For that reason, I have excluded the 79-inch Sony XBR-79X900B from the review.
This 79-inch size has similar specifications according to Sony's website, but instead of the active 3D system used by the 65- and 55-inch sizes, it has passive 3D. This difference might also lead to some differences in 2D picture quality, but I can't say for sure. Because I'm not confident this 79-inch size has similar-enough picture quality to the others, I'm not including it in the review.
The design, features and some aspects of its picture quality will be identical to that of the smaller sizes. I also expect it to be a better performer with 3D content than those others. Beyond that, however, I can't guess at the differences in picture quality, and I don't expect to review the 79-inch size in the future.
