LAS VEGAS -- People use their tablets as cameras. A lot.
You can shake your head, snicker, and laugh at them, and sure, when they're blocking your view at a CES press conference you maybe want to punch them in the head. But they do it, and that's that.
It's a fact Olloclip, maker of several photo lenses for the iPhone and iPod Touch, couldn't really ignore since its fans were regularly requesting an iPad version. Olloclip wasn't entirely sure it wanted to encourage iPad photography, but when the latest Apple tablets were announced, it moved forward with a 4-in-1 photo lens for the iPad Air, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPad mini.
The lens is the same as the 4-in-1 lens Olloclip makes for the iPhone. On one side is a fisheye lens, but flipping it around gives you a wide-angle lens with 180-degree field of view.
You can also unscrew those lenses to reveal a 15x magnification macro lens and a 10x magnification macro lens.
The lens will be available at the end of the first quarter of 2014 for $69.99 in space gray, silver, and red. Also, for $99.99, you'll be able to pick up a combo lens with two clips that will let you use it on the iPad or iPhone.
