LAS VEGAS -- How many more sensors can wearable tech bear? Netatmo, showcasing at CES 2014, has a new wrinkle: skin protection. The bedazzled June has an embedded UV sensor that syncs with a phone app to tell you how much sun is too much.
The app personalizes the sensor's data with questions to determine your exposure safety levels, and then the band automatically pings from there. Itâs hard to tell how it works in action, but it's a unique angle to wearables. As for the design? The leather band and metal alloy crystal-like sensor housing, which has a USB connector underneath, seem a little on the flashy side.
The June will be available in Q2 of this year for $99.
