Motorola has made some of the smallest Bluetooth headsets we've ever tried, like thefor example. With the recent Motorola H790, it has also made one of the thinnest. The slim and lightweight headset is no weakling, though; it has multipoint technology and decent call quality, thanks to Motorola's CrystalTalk technology. The Motorola H790 costs about $80, but you can easily get it for close to $30 if you shop around.
The Motorola H790 is one of the skinniest headsets we've ever used. Measuring 2.04 inches long by 0.79 inch wide by 0.27 inch thick, the H790 is long, slender, and weighs only 0.33 ounce. Its front surface is clad in attractive matte silver, with the LED indicator situated toward the top. On its left is the power slider; the multifunction call button is on the top, while the volume rocker is on the right. The headset's thin profile results in skinny buttons, but they are still large enough to press. Pressing the multifunction call button can be a tad inconvenient because it is wedged right at the top of the ear.
Flip the headset over and you'll find a ridged back, presumably for easier grip and handling. Sitting on top of that is the earpiece, clad in your choice of ear bud cover. The H790 comes with two different kinds of ear buds--one has a loop and can be worn without the optional ear hook, while the other doesn't have a loop and needs the hook for security. The headset comes with two different fittings of each kind. We found we preferred the loop-less option, and that we could wear it for a long time without discomfort. The optional ear hook can be rotated to fit either ear.
