Lenovo is dipping its toes into the 4K monitor pool with the competitively priced ThinkVision Pro2840m display. Making a CES 2014 debut, the ultra-high definition monitor starts at $799 and is scheduled for an April 2014 release.

The 28-inch display features a purportedly sharp and vibrant 3,840x2,160-pixel resolution with a 5ms response time. Ports include DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, HDMI, and a plethora of USB connections, including three USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0. The monitor also houses two speakers and a headphone jack.

The Lenovo monitor can tilt forward 5 degrees and backward 25 degrees, as well a swivel 45 degrees left or right. Lenovo

Lenovo's ThinkVision Pro2840m dons an ergonomic design that makes a comfortable viewing experience only a simple adjustment away. The monitor can tilt forward or backward, as well as swivel to the left or right.

The shift from 1080p to ultra-high definition is inevitable, and though TVs get most of the attention when it comes to boasting 4K resolutions, monitor manufacturers are keeping up with the new new. However, the current selection of 4K monitors is sparse and expensive.

Offering an additional device to the growing category, Lenovo also announced the ThinkVision 28 4K display at CES 2014. The 28-inch monitor doubles as a standalone Android device, but it comes with a heftier price tag of $1,199.

If running Android 4.4 on your monitor isn't worth the extra cash, the $799 Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840 offers a great value with the same 4K resolution.
