LAS VEGAS -- Lenovo’s ThinkVision 28 4K display is an impressive package, and not just because of its screen. The multitouch display not only boasts a 3,840x2,160-pixel resolution, it also doubles as an Android all-in-one device.

Starting at $1,199, the 28-inch monitor houses a variety of ports on the base of its stand, including DisplayPort, Ethernet, and three HDMI. The ThinkVision 28 also packs two 5-watt speakers, two noise-canceling microphones, and a front-facing 2-megapixel camera.

As an all-in-one device, the ThinkVision 28 runs Android 4.4 and houses a NVIDIA Tegra CPU with 2GB of RAM. The device comes with 32GB of internal storage and offers a microSD card expansion slot if you fancy more.

The monitor’s adjustable stand allows you to tilt the monitor all the way back so it’s flush with a flat surface. This allows for a more comfortable experience when using it as an Android device. Other features on the 28-inch monitor include Bluetooth 4.0, NFC capabilities, and Miracast software.

Lenovo also announced the ThinkVision Pro2840, another 4K monitor debuting at CES 2014. The 28-incher starts at $799, a relatively inexpensive price for a 4K display, but unlike the ThinkVision 28, it’s simply a monitor.

When it comes to 4K displays, they usually cost a pretty penny. While the Lenovo ThinkVision 28’s $1,199 starting retail price is far from a bargain, the ultra-high resolution and full Android capabilities give you more bang for your buck.

Expect the double-identitied display to hit stores in July 2014. Check back for more information on the Lenovo ThinkVision 28 once it becomes available.
