Lenovo A740 thinnest 27-inch AIO desktop around

At its thinnest point the Lenovo A740 all-in-one desktop announced at CES 2014 is 0.15-inch (4mm) thick.

Does that make it a better computer? No, probably not. But it does give it a nice shape, if that's something that matters to you. Lenovo says its stand and display back are cut from a single piece of aluminum, too. Again, that probably doesn't make it a better computer, but it does make it attractive.

The A740 comes standard with a full-HD 27-inch display, but can be upgraded to a 2,560x1,440-pixel-resolution IPS 10-point touch-screen panel with 178-degree viewing angles. There's also built-in motion and voice control and the display can fold down 90 degrees flat.

For component options you can get it with up to a fourth-gen Intel Core i7 processor; up to 8GB of memory; up to 1TB storage; and Intel HD integrated graphics or Nvidia GeForce GTX discrete graphics.

Connections include three USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI input, and a multiformat card reader, and you can get it with a TV tuner. Wireless features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth 4.0.

Of course, none of this comes cheaply. When the Lenovo A740 AIO desktop arrives in June the starting price will be at $1,499.
