Fujifilm FinePix E - First Take

October 26, 2005 12:04 AM PDT / Updated: October 26, 2005 12:04 AM PDT

Quick Take: The Fujifilm FinePix E500 is one of the low-end models in the company's E series of point-and-shoot cameras. It's identical to the 5-megapixel Fujifilm FinePix E510 in every respect except that it has a 4-megapixel CCD. The two cameras are available for the same price, so the only possible advantage to the E500 is that its lower-resolution sensor might produce less visual noise.
