All that extra computing power comes at a price. Whereas many Intel Atom Netbooks can run for 6-plus hours, the M101z ran for only 3 hours and 37 minutes on our video playback battery drain test. That's still a perfectly usable number for most purposes, but nowhere near what more efficient Intel CPUs can provide.

Dell includes an industry-standard, one-year, parts-and-labor, mail-in warranty with the system, with a variety of extended terms and services available. Support is accessible through its 24-7 toll-free phone line, an online knowledge base and driver downloads.
