Boston Acoustics has unveiled its two latest sound bars designed to combat the poor sound quality of budget-to-mid-range TVs.
Theis an upgrade to the , and the is a new model. Though the TVee 26 is the same $350 price as last year's model, it makes some important and welcomed changes.
The two new sound bars are essentially the same, but the more expensive product adds a wireless subwoofer. The 2011 was a decent speaker, but one of reviewer Matthew Moskovciak's complaints was that it didn't offer a remote. The new model adds a credit-card-style remote, but the company still recommends programming your own TV remote for convenience. Both sound bars also include a 3.5mm input and digital optical.
The sound bars feature two oval 5-inch drivers with the company's BassTrac technology for stronger bass, which is supplemented by the sub in the case of the TVee 26. Both models include an updated design with front-mounted controls and keyhole mounts on the back.
The sound bars are available now. The TVee 10 retails for $199.99; the TVee 26 is available for $349.99.
