Archos got a jump on Mobile World Congress today when it announced four new devices that it will show in Barcelona, Spain. Sitting just between the Archos 50C Oxygen and the 40B Titanium in terms of features, the Archos 64 Xenon still outshines its siblings with a larger 6.4-inch IPS display. That's a big jump from the 5-inch screen on the Oxygen even if the Xenon has the same 1280x720-pixel resolution. Otherwise, its design is a standard phablet rectangle (170mm long by 90.6mm wide by 9.3mm deep), but with more rounded corners.

Inside, the Xenon runs the increasingly outdated 4.2 Android Jelly Bean and mostly midrange features. The Mediatek MT6582 quad-core 1.3 GHz processor is slower than the 1.7GHz ship on the Oxygen, but not significantly so. External storage comes to 4GB and you can add more space with a microSD card slot. You'll also find 1GB of RAM, an 8-mepgaixel camera with 1080 video, a 2-megapixel shooter around front, Wi-Fi, HSDPA+, Bluetooth 3.0, and a 2800mAh battery.

Archos did not announce any availability details outside of a £199 ($331) price tag. Check back next week when we'll post photos, video, and hands-on analysis of all of Archos's new devices from Mobile World Congress.
