Acer TravelMate C310 series

The Acer TravelMate C310 series comes in two fixed configurations. The $1,699 TravelMate C312XCi includes a 1.73GHz Pentium M processor, 512MB of swift 533MHz RAM, an 80GB hard drive spinning at a sluggish 4,200rpm, and a CD-ROM/DVD-RW drive. The $1,999 TravelMate C314XMi offers a fast 2GHz Pentium M processor; 1GB of 533MHz RAM; a 100GB, 4,200rpm hard drive; and a multiformat DVD burner. On both models, a huge 14.1-inch display with a 1,024x768 native resolution provides ample room for writing, and an Nvidia GeForce Go 6200 card drives the graphics. At 6.7 pounds, this tablet is not travel-friendly, but if you want strong performance and tablet functionality for your desk or conference room, the TravelMate C310 series should meet your needs.
