YouTube for Android gets a refresh (pictures)
The new YouTube for Android app looks better and has added some big-time features, including picture-in-picture viewing.
New YouTube offers picture-in-picture
To get to the new picture-in-picture mode, just drag a video down to the bottom of the screen. From there, you can drag up to expand or drag left or right to close a video.
Multitask
With the picture-in-picture, you can continue to watch a video while scrolling through your menu or searching for more content.
Lists and Favorites
It's easy to add videos to your Watch later list, Favorites, or any of your playlists.
Optimized for tablets
The new YouTube includes a landscape mode that's optimized for tablets. From here, you can expand to full screen or drag the video down for picture-in-picture mode.
High-quality video
HD-quality content looks crisp in the YouTube app.
