The stage
The Microsoft E3 press conference introduced two new consoles, a new Gears of War and much more. Click through to see what was on offer on the show floor.
Piracy
Pirates, you say? They must be there to spruik the new buccaneering MMO made by Rare, the company behind classic titles like Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark.
Sea of Thieves
Sea of Theives also got a gameplay premiere at the Microsoft press conference.
Forza
Forza Horizon 3 had a typically subtle centerpiece. Just kidding. But the latest instalment in the racing franchise is introducing PC and Xbox cross-platform cooperative play to various Australian tracks. Speaking as an Australian, it looks pretty realistic.
We Happy Few
Players could try out the creepy stealth shooter (with a healthy dollop of BioShock) at E3 this year. We hope it made them happy.
Cuphead
The notoriously difficult platformer Cuphead was ready to infuriate fans with a new boss fight.
ReCore
ReCore on the big screen. The upcoming action-adventure game for the Xbox One and PC was first revealed at last year's E3 and got a swanky new trailer this time around.
The most wonderful time of year
After it was announced at the press conference on Sunday, Dead Rising 4 was playable at the Xbox booth. Get ready for Yuletide zombie mayhem.
Take control
Microsoft announced a new controller to go along with its slimmed down Xbox One S console.
Pinned down
The new controller isn't quite that small, but it does feature textured grips and improved wireless range.
Queue Queue
It was a bit of a wait to get hands-on with demos on the show floor.
Good Dog
There was a statue of the robotic dog from ReCore, the upcoming Xbox and PC exlcusive from the makers of Metroid Prime.
Pipes
It just wouldn't be a show floor without some public Rock Band performances.
