Windows Phone makes the rounds at Mix (photos)
By far the most popular device at the show was the one few could get their hands on--the Windows Phone 7 Series prototype.
Not letting it out of their hands
Microsoft had a few of the prototype Windows Phone 7 Series devices on display at its booth at the Mix10 conference in Las Vegas this week, but it wasn't letting attendees hold or touch them.
While conference goers didn't leave with one of the devices, Microsoft did release a free Windows-based emulator and tools for developers to start writing their Windows Phone apps.
A giant Windows Phone
No, it's not the iPad version of Windows Phone. Microsoft used this huge touch screen to show off the features of Windows Phone.
Bing Maps plus Risk
One of the Coding4Fun demos on display at Mix was a version of Risk that ran using Bing Maps as the background.
T-shirts anyone?
One of the most fun uses of Windows Phone in Monday's keynote speech was when the phone was used to control a T-shirt-launching robot that fired red polo shirts into the crowd.
The T-shirt cannon and its inventor
Clint Rutkas said he had about two weeks to build the T-shirt cannon, including the time needed to order and acquire the parts.
