Don't dismiss the the Acer Liquid Z2 just because of its petite size; the phone manages to squeeze Android 4.1 Jelly Bean plus support for dual-SIM cards into its compact frame.
A hot rod it's not: inside, you'll find a 1GHz single-core MediaTek processor, and a paltry 512MB of RAM.
The advantage of dual-SIM cards? Two phone numbers and/or two wireless providers -- say, one for work and one for personal use, or one for home and one for traveling abroad.
The 3-megapixel camera probably won't excite shutterbugs.
If you're expecting a massive screen here, the Liquid Z2 will disappoint. That's because the device uses a miniscule 3.5-inch LCD with a low 480x320-pixel resolution.
While the specs may not excite, the phone's price tag does: just 99 euros without a contract. According to Acer, the Liquid Z2 has already begun shipping globally so don't be surprised if the handset appears at a mobile store near you.
