Volkswagen infotainment system sneak peek - photos
We got a sneak peek at a development version of Volkswagen's new infotainment interface. Using gestures for control, the interface allows access to navigation, music, and other cabin gadgets.
The home screen for VW's development infotainment system has large buttons for navigation, music, and photos. It also has a button for widgets, which would bring up third-party applications loaded in the car by the owner.
You can get to the navigation screen by touching the navigation button on the home screen, or by tracing an 'n' from anywhere in the system. The stores its maps on a hard drive, allowing for greater detail and speed than DVD-based maps.
