ViewSonic's Android tablets embrace the old and new (photos)
ViewSonic tablets use Gingerbread and Ice Cream Sandwich to achieve the same goal: release a cheap Android tablet.
The E70
At $170, the ViewPad E70 may be the cheapest device to run Ice Cream Sandwich.
A real ICS?
I believe the fact the E70 looks like a real ice cream sandwich is pure coincidence.
Surprising ports
The E70 sports a surprising number of ports for such a cheap tablet. From left to right we see Mini-USB, Micro-USB, a microSD card slot, and Mini-HDMI.
Dat camera
No, the back camera was definitely *not* photographed in a room with really bad lighting. Why would you think that?
IPS
The ViewPad 10e sports a 10-inch IPS screen for $280.
Slim
The Android 2.3-based 10e has a fairly thin design, which I admit to being pleasantly surprised by given some of ViewSonic's previous efforts.
