Up close with Apple's newest MacBook Air
Hours after Apple announced the new 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Airs at the 2013 WWDC, CNET goes hands on with the 13-inch model.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a cosmetic difference between the new Air and last year's, because there isn't any.
Under the hood, the new Air has Intel's latest fourth-gen Core i5 (or i7) processor, with a promised battery life of 12 hours.
An HDMI port could have fit here.
The new Air's display is the same as the old one's: 13.3 inches, 1,440x900 resolution. It's still not 16:9, either.
The new Air will cost you less: configurations start $100 less than the 2012 models, and upgrading to a 512GB SSD is a less pricey proposition.
The new Air does have dual microphones, but they aren't visible.
The Air's still slim and light, but what used to be groundbreaking design is now a territory well-explored by Windows 8 ultrabook competitors.
