Twitter for Windows Phone updates (pictures)

We take a look at the newly updated Twitter app for Windows Phone 8 devices.

Home sweet home

The Home screen is beautiful with its minimalist design. One thing I'd love to see, though, is expanded tweets inline. As it is now, the app brings you to another screen when you tap on an individual tweet.

The Me screen

From the Me screen, you can view and edit your Twitter profile. Just use the application bar at the bottom to bring up more options.

Expanding tweets

When you tap on an individual tweet, the app opens up a new screen with options to reply, retweet, favorite, and share.

Lists are lacking

Twitter for Windows Phone lets you view your lists, but not add to or edit them in any way. This is a huge flaw.

Discover new users

From the Discover screen, you can browse through different categories of users. This is one feature that the Android version doesn't have.

Trending topics

The Discover screen also shows you trending topics in the United States. Unfortunately, you can't filter by location.

Compose tweets with ease

The Compose screen makes it easy to add photos, location tags, or usernames to your tweets. Also, this is the only screen in the app that can be used in landscape mode.
