Tokyo, Japan.

For the past few weeks, Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi, traveling in orbit 200 miles above the Earth at around 17,000 mph, has been on board the International Space Station tweeting images of his view from space.

The images, which were taken with digital cameras on board the International Space Station, have been posted to Twitter via Twitpic, a Web site that allows users to easily post pictures.

Surfing the Web from space on the ultimate wireless connection, the crew recently received access to the Internet from orbit via what is known as the Crew Support LAN, which routes ISS Web browsing through a computer on the ground, according to Kelly Humphries, the International Space Station and Mission Operations public affairs officer at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Originally from Yokohama, Japan, Noguchi is in orbit as part of Expedition 22, a five-member team currently responsible for running the International Space Station.
