The Toshiba Thrive is both utilitarian and aesthetically pleasing. The Thrive can have its back plate removed to reveal the lithium ion battery inside. Not only can the battery be swapped out for a fully charged one (each extra battery costs an extra $90), but if you've grown bored with its plain black back, you can exchange it for something more colorful. Extra back plates come in five different colors: blue, purple, silver, green, and pink. Each plate is available from Toshiba at $20 each. Toshiba Thrive full review

Toshiba's Portfolio 360 case offers protection from the elements. You know, like concrete floors. Also, fists and likely the occasional cat claw. Available for $40, the case looks to fit the Thrive in snugly, but we'd have to try it ourselves to be sure. Toshiba Thrive full review

The Thrive's bluetooth keyboard turns your tablet into a psuedonetbook, kind of. Unlike the Asus Transformer, its keyboard doesn't actually attach to the bottom of the tablet. Available for $70, the Thrive'skeyboard looks to be as fully functional as a laptop keyboard, offering arrow and function keys. Toshiba Thrive full review
