The Mi Pad is a 7.9-inch tablet from Beijing-based Xiaomi. It packs powerful hardware in the form of an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot. It'll cost Chinese tablet fans just 1,499 Chinese yuan (roughly $240, £145, AU$260).

The tablet runs a heavily customised version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, called MIUI.

In keeping with the copycat chassis, the OS has a decidedly iOS 7 feel, including the wallpaper colors and the transparency effects.
