Tron toys galore

Movie tie-in toys and gadgets are the norm nowadays, but the original "Tron" holds a special place in the tech world for bringing a vision of the future that no other film did at the time. The makers of its sequel, "Tron: Legacy," are hoping to accomplish the same thing this time around.

Here are a few of the techie, or otherwise neat "Tron"-related products hitting the shelves in the next couple of months. The movie, starring Jeff Bridges, hits theaters December 17.

No, it's not an insect. It's a red guard, one of the elite squad of officers working for Jeff Bridges' younger self in the film. Those flaps on the back are actually part of a high-tech parachute.
