Now better-looking than ever, the new Google Maps app has a map that bleeds to the edge of the screen, with only a simple floating search bar up top.

Info sheets

To get more details on a destination, simply slide the info sheet up from the bottom of the screen. Here, you'll see all of a business' vitals, plus Zagat reviews, photos, and more.

Explore your surroundings

The new Explore feature offers recommendations for nearby restaurants bars, hotels, and more. Fans of Google Now should be pleased to see its card-based design.

Where's the food court?

With indoor maps (available for select locations), you'll be able to zoom in and see the insides of a building. You can even switch floors with the slider on the right.

Compare routes

Google Maps plots out different routes on the screen, so you can easily compare and select the best of the bunch. What's more, if you hit a traffic jam, the app will automatically notify you of a better route if one is available.
