Lenovo Y50
LAS VEGAS -- The Lenovo Y50 offers either a standard 1,920x1,080-pixel display, or an optional full 4K 3,840x2,160 one, joining the Yoga 2 Pro in Lenovo's higher-res camp. Optional Nvidia GeForce graphics and up to an Intel Core i7 CPU are paired with either a hard drive, or a more expensive solid-state drive (up to 1TB HDD or 512GB SSD).
Lenovo Flex 14D
The Lenovo Flex 14D doesn't do much to change the basic features of the original Flex, but instead tries to win on price. By switching to AMD processors and Radeon graphics, Lenovo hopes to make these a more compelling option for those who like a quasi-hybrid, but can't afford the more expensive Yoga products.
Samsung Ativ Book 9 (2014 Edition)
The slim 15.6-inch Samsung Ativ Book 9 has a 1,920x1,080-pixel native resolution, comes with either an Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, integrated Intel 4400 graphics, and can be configured with up to a 1TB of combined SSD storage (the larger chassis allows for two drives).
Sony Vaio Fit 11A Flip PC
Joining the existing 13-inch and 15-inch models is a new 11-inch version called the Vaio Fit 11A Flip PC. Smaller and lighter than the previous Flip PCs, this new ultraportable model weighs 2.8 pounds, and makes use of the same Sony TV Triluminos technology that has already worked its way into other Sony laptops.
Toshiba Chromebook
Toshiba is the most recent company to step into the Chromebook fray, with a new $279 13-inch system simply named Toshiba Chromebook. In fact, this is the first Chromebook to feature a standard 13.3-inch display.
Lenovo Yoga 2
The new Lenovo Yoga 2, available in 11-inch and 13-inch models, will start at $529 for the smaller screen size, which will weigh 2.9 pounds and be about 0.67 inch thick. The CPU gets knocked down to a quad-core Intel Pentium, and storage is a basic 500GB hard drive.
Lenovo X1 Carbon
New for the 2014 edition of the X1 Carbon is something Lenovo calls an adaptive keyboard, which replaces the function key row with a small touch-screen strip that changes based on what app you're using. There are four presets with different commands, including ones for Web browsing and VoIP use.
Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300
Not only can the Asus Transformer Book Duet TD300 convert from a tablet to a laptop, it can also switch between Android and Windows 8.1 with the simple push of a button.
