Taking a look at GE's compacted kitchen module (pictures)

In their model for a micro kitchen, GE's microfactory team packs a fridge, freezer, sink, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and stove into a single 6-foot-wide unit designed to look like the cabinets. Check out this compact "monoblock."

Moving to the left, both drawers are dedicated to cooling. You have a freezer and fridge along with the ability to customize the temperature of each to make them interchangeable.

At the top of the far left column, that glass surface covers an induction heating element. Any size pan or multiple pans will be heated directly by this advanced technology.

Moving down from the cooktop, an advantium microwave offers multiple kinds of heat for extremely fast cooking.

At an estimated retail of 15,000, GE plans to have its first models of the micro kitchen ready to sell by the fourth quarter of this year.
