Up and at 'em

Along with the Kyocera Hydro, the Rise is another Kyocera Android 4.0 device announced at CTIA 2012.

Although the Rise isn't waterproof like the Hydro, it still sports the same Android ICS OS, 1GHz processor, and 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display.

Typing it out

The Rise has a four-row keyboard that slides out underneath the display. The keyboard includes four navigational arrows.

Get a grip

Along the bottom and top of the Rise is a rubbery material that makes the device easier to grip.

A flash and a mirror

The Rise sports a modest 3.2-megapixel camera in the back that can shoot video in 30fps. It also has an LED flash and a small reflective bubble for vanity shots.

Rise and shine

The Kyocera Rise comes with features including Bluetooth 2.1, 2GB worth of internal memory, and Eco Mode, a battery conserving module that lets users control their energy output.

Perfect for texting lovers

The spacious QWERTY keyboard lights up a dim shade of blue and its keys have a solid, bubble shape.

Opened at the back

The Kyocera Rise's plastic build has a smooth and glossy finish. When the keyboard is pushed back underneath the screen, the device is 0.56-inches thick.
