Sony's SmartBand "life logger" in pictures.
Sony has launched its SWR-10 SmartBand -- it may look like a mere fitness tracker, but it's designed to be much more.
The Core is literally the core of the SmartBand. It's a tiny tracker with a single button and three white LEDs.
The Core charges via Micro USB. Despite the open port, it's completely waterproof.
The Core sits in the silicon rubber wristband.
The pegs for the buckle are probably the most stylish part of the SmartBand.
The SmartBand ships with two sizes of band in the box. In Australia it appears to be only in black. In the UK we've also seen a green and yellow Brazil edition and the US seems to be selling additional bands in a variety of colours as an accessory.

The Lifelog app from Sony provides the functioanlity for the Core's tracking and more.
