Sony Alpha SLT-A57 (photos)
The replacement for the Sony Alpha SLT-A55V takes its design cues from Sony's fall models, the A77 and A65V.
Updated body
The Sony Alpha SLT-A57 updates the SLT-A55V with the body design of the newer A77 and A65. That includes the more comfortable, slightly tilted front dial.
Side view
There's not a lot to say about the side of the camera, except perhaps, "Look, Ma! No GPS."
Top
The A57 now has the stero microphone in the center, and Sony has moved a few of the buttons.
Articulated LCD
The A57 has the same LCD and the better, more touch-friendly controls of the A65V.
Tilted front dial
The uptilted front dial is becoming more popular; Nikon recently introduced it into its latest dSLRs.
