Using Snapseed isn't as easy as it looks. But with its myriad tools for micro photo adjustments, it's certainly worth learning.

Read instructions carefully

When you first fire up Snapseed, the app offers a little tutorial screen for each of its tools. I highly suggest paying attention to these, as some of the tools are difficult to figure out. And if you need a refresher course, you can always hit the question mark on the top right.

From 0 to 100

Snapseed lets you adjust any tool's intensity to a level from 0 to 100.

Not your typical filters

With Snapseed, you can do more than simply apply a Grunge filter to your photo. You can actually adjust the intensity and texture of the filter.

Tilt-Shift

Snapseed's Tilt-Shift feature is more difficult to use than Instagram's, but it offers more adjustment options.

Preset filters

Open up the Drama filter category, and scroll through the preset adjustments. If you like, you can fine-tune any attributes from there.
