The grip uses Bluetooth and an iOS or Android app to give you wireless control over your iPhone's or Galaxy S3's camera.

And this is the Snappgrip in action. Just like a standalone point-and-shoot, the Snappgrip allows you to half-press to prefocus. The companion app is available for iOS and Android and the creators are working to provide an API to developers to embed in their own photography apps.
