Snappgrip
LAS VEGAS--Still in the prototype phase, but with plans to launch in February 2013, the Snappgrip is a smartphone case and camera grip.
The grip uses Bluetooth and an iOS or Android app to give you wireless control over your iPhone's or Galaxy S3's camera.Tripod mount and USB charging
The Snappgrip's battery life is as long as 60 hours in standby on a single charge.
Slide it on, slide it off
The grip locks onto its case when in use, or slides off and becomes just a regular protective case.
Extra texture
Snappgrip has a textured surface to give users something to hold on to.
Buttoned up
Snappgrip adds a shutter release and digital zoom control, and a mode dial lets you switch shooting modes when using Snappgrip's app.
Mount up!
Here's how the Snappgrip attaches to your phone. Since it's connected to the device via Bluetooth, you don't need to worry about physical connectors to use it.
Hold on tight
And this is the Snappgrip in action. Just like a standalone point-and-shoot, the Snappgrip allows you to half-press to prefocus. The companion app is available for iOS and Android and the creators are working to provide an API to developers to embed in their own photography apps.
