Shoot down planes one turn at a time (pictures)
Sid Meier's Ace Patrol is about turn-based strategy, but the game also shows cool-looking animations for each battle event.
Blow planes out of the sky
After several hits, a plane will start smoking and you know only a few more shots will take it down.
Choose your pilots
You only get four pilots to work with, and some may get shot down behind enemy lines or need repairs. On this screen, you can see I have three pilots available with Tom Rickenbacker (lower left) out for repairs.
Touch the arrows to choose your path
The arrows on the ground are all the possible moves that one plane can accomplish in a turn. The green arrows indicate that I'll be able to hit an enemy plane, while the blue arrows (only one in the screenshot) indicate movement with no attack.
Take down the zeppelin
At the end of missions, you'll often need to blow up a zeppelin along with the fighters assigned to defend it.
Mission score screen
At the end of each mission, you'll get to see how you did and the score breakdown. Make sure to check out the View Replay button in the lower left to see the battle in one fluid motion.
