Samsung TouchWiz UX
The new Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Galaxy Tab 10.1 will feature Samsung's new TouchWiz UX user interface for tablets. The UI will not come on the Android Honeycomb tablet right out of the box, rather it will be made available after launch as a software update.
Live panels
TouchWiz UX features live panels, which you can customize with different content such as weather, calendar, and e-mail.
Different widgets
A sample view of the different widgets and shortcuts available.
Drag and drop
To add live widgets and content to the home screen, you can drag and drop on the first instance.
Touch and go
After you've added your first widget, you can just tap and touch instead of dragging and dropping.
Resizable widgets
One nice thing about TouchWiz UX is that you can resize the widgets.
Easy as 1-2-3
It's a simple process of dragging the widget box to the size that you want.
App tray
Another feature of the TouchWiz UX is an app tray that gives you access to more commonly used apps. The goal is to easy multitasking.
Multitasking
While you're working on other things, you can simply drag an app from the tray to the main screen for easier multitasking.
Note-taking
An example Samsung showed us is using the note-taking app while viewing e-mail on the right side.

A view of the full applications menu.
Music player
The music player is attractive and offers standard features like viewing your library by different categories.
Now playing
Another view of the music player.
Wireless manager
One feature we particularly found handy was the wireless manager. By pressing a little icon on the bottom right-hand side, you can easily toggle on/off your wireless radios, adjust screen brightness, check battery life, and more.
