Samsung Seek for Boost Mobile (photos)

The Samsung Seek may be the same phone on Boost Mobile as it is on Sprint, but there are a few differences on the phone for this Sprint subsidiary.

Same old Seek?

The Samsung Seek originally debuted for Sprint in June 2010. A couple months later, Sprint subsidiary Boost Mobile got its turn with the midrange handset. While essentially the same device, its price, apps, and performance are different for this prepaid phone.

QWERTY-plus-touch

The Seek represents the first phone on Boost Mobile to have touch screen phone and a full QWERTY keyboard. The screen is a bit small for our e-mail and Web browsing tastes, but navigating it is straightforward.

Side view

The all-black Seek is thicker than your average candy bar phone, thanks to the keyboard, though its on par with others in its QWERTY cohort. The Samsung Seek accepts up to 32GB expandable memory and has a standard 3.5-millimeter headset jack to go with its music player.

Shutter speed

We weren't very impressed with the pictures produced by the Seek's 1.3-megapixel camera, but we did like the Facebook and MySpace apps inside.
