HomeSync mirrors your Android device on your TV, holds up to 1TB, and streams videos, shows, and games from your smartphone.
BARCELONA, Spain--At MWC 2013, Samsung announced its HomeSync media hub, which incorporates an Android Jelly Bean interface on your TV that you can control with your Galaxy handset.
The Samsung HomeSync is packaged in a minimalistic glossy black box. When placed on a flat counter top, it sits at a slight upward angle.
On the back are several output connections, which include an Ethernet port, a digital audio port, two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, a Micro-USB port, and finally a port for power.
The device has a 1TB capacity, and is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor.
Seen as Samsung's answer to Apple TV, HomeSync can mirror the phone's display onto your TV, access cloud files, and you can get eight accounts onto the device for other family members.
Here, photos saved on a Galaxy handset are viewed through the TV.
You can access the same apps that appear in your handset -- some of which include Google Play and Music, your photo gallery, YouTube, and the Web browser.
