Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G keeps the QWERTY coming

If you hear a phone with a keyboard calling your name, check out the Samsung Galaxy S Relay 4G. In addition to a roomy five-row QWERTY, it also features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as its OS.

Typing power

The fully separated keys are great for those with a long range and larger fingers. I had to reach a little with my smaller hands.

Comfortable backing

Thanks to the soft, rubberized, and textured back cover, I never had to worry about the Relay 4G slipping from my hands or becoming uncomfortable.

Screen deets

A 4-inch Super AMOLED display keeps colors vibrant, and there's enough room to read.

Camera

The 5-megapixel spec may not seem top of the line, but photo quality was very good, and so was the 720p video capture. There's a front-facing camera as well.

Thickness

The keyboard makes the phone heavier and bulkier for sure, but that's a small price to pay for those who really want a typist's precision.

Studio shot

The telltale flash glare washes out the color spectrum map in the middle of this image, a shame. Edges don't look very crisp here in this studio shot, but photos I took of real objects were generally were much more focused.
