BMW R1200 GS Adventure

The Salon de la Moto in Paris draws hundreds of motorcycles -- and thousands of visitors who want to see the road bikes, off-road machines, scooters, custom motorcycles, and four-wheel all-terrain vehicles.

Street bikes take up the most floor space, but there's plenty of variety. Europeans enjoy the idea of motorcycle treks across Africa, and BMW's R1200 GS Adventure is designed for it. It's got a 1,170cc two-cylinder engine and a $22,700 price.
