Ridiculous Fishing has simple graphics, but excellent gameplay (pictures)

In this fishing arcade game your job is to go as deep into the ocean as possible, then catch as many fish as you can on the way back up.

Send your line deep

While your hook travels deeper into the depths, you'll need to tilt back and forth to avoid fish. Helpful items such as the toaster (pictured here) give you an extra chance to sink deeper by providing an electric shock to a fish instead of catching it. With your toaster used up, the next fish you touch will be caught, moving you to the fish-catching phase of the game.

Catch as many as you can

On the way back up, you'll need to tilt to catch as many fish as you can. You'll want to avoid jellyfish because each one takes away from your cash total at the end.

What do we do with fish? We shoot them!

Ridiculous Fishing is ridiculous for a reason. Once you've reeled in your haul of fish, they are flung into the air where you'll blast away at them with one of the game's many weapons.

Check your tablet for upgrades

The tablet is where you view the game menu. Here you can access the store, look at fish you've caught in Fish-O-Pedia, check the latest messages on Byrdr, and access the map.

Fish descriptions are fun to read

Ridiculous Fishing has a unique sense of humor, which you'll find throughout the game's menus.

Buy weapons and tools in the Shoppe

The Shoppe Ship is where you can get larger reels for more fishing line, better more powerful guns, lures that help you go deeper into the abyss, and other miscellaneous items.
